I am a caring, reliable person with good communication skills. Having had over 20 years in administration I began my
own practice as a complementary practitioner in 2002.
My first experience with healing work began in 2000
when I completed Reiki level 1 and this led to my completing Master Teacher level in 2004. I now regularly run courses teaching
Reiki. After an injury to my back and
being off work for 6 months in 2001, I discovered homeopathy and completed a four year Diploma course with the Yorkshire School
in 2007. We were encouraged to see clients from the first year and so my practice has been growing since then. I have written
and facilitated several ‘bite size’ first aid homeopathy courses and made presentations to groups such as the
WI.
I completed an allergy therapy diploma
in April in 2009, which employs a technique called “Kinesiology” for the testing. I enjoy this work as it enables
me to combine my homeopathic knowledge with a practical application to achieve results.
My other therapy is “Deeksha” (Oneness blessing), which is on a more
‘spiritual level’.This therapy has had the most impact on my life. The training involved a
21 day silent retreat in India which enabled me to deal with and release issues in my life, let go of ego and find an inner
peace that had not been there before. This was followed by a five day intensive which allowed me to practise as a ‘principle’
Deeksha facilitator. I run regular evenings where people can receive this healing and I also co-create the National Oneness
Blessing conferences in London.
My passion is people.Watching them flourish
after receiving treatment, in whatever form they choose, is an absolute privilege. I really enjoy bringing people together
in groups, because they open up and share and they always benefit from it. I run a Reiki share group of up to 15 members.
We have infrequent ‘pamper nights’ for the locals which raises funds for charity. I have also organised several
holistic health fairs bringing together local therapists and the local community.
I am aware that one therapy does not necessarily
treat the whole problem and so, I am developing a network of therapists so we can refer to each other when appropriate.
I am currently acting as a volunteer for
the WRVS organising the “Meals on Wheels” Service for my local area.
